Volunteer drivers program in full swing!

Thanks to the generous support of The Fund for Wellesley (www.fundforwellesley.org), this program launched on Feb. 28, 2011, and will run as a pilot for a period of six months. Currently, the Council on Aging has secured approximately 25 volunteer drivers. All ride requests and/or individuals interested in becoming a volunteer driver must call 508-479-9301 —this is a designated phone number for this program only OR email: Drive@wellesleyma.gov. Rides will be available within Wellesley and the communities surrounding Wellesley.

Our volunteer program has grown significantly over the last year, thanks to the generous support of The Fund for Wellesley. The Fund for Wellesley issued two consecutive grants to the COA in support of volunteer programs and sponsored a delightful volunteer recognition luncheon in October.
